AURA is a sculptural vase in a semi-transparent creamy white shade, created as a functional work of art that adds balance, depth and visual calm to modern interiors.

Inspired by the soft drapery of classical sculpture and the organic forms of nature, AURA explores the tension between strength and softness, movement and stillness.

The name refers to the invisible energy that surrounds all living things, a mood or radiance that can be sensed but not captured. This fleeting quality is expressed in the vase's semi-transparent surface, where light and shadow create a lively play, and the abstract pattern changes depending on the viewer's angle. The result is an object that is experienced differently throughout the day and adds a special atmosphere to the room.

Whether AURA stands alone as a sculptural statement or styled with branches and flowers, it adds texture, character and a sensual presence to its surroundings.

Each vase is handmade in bio-based resin and carries natural variations in colour, surface and shape. Small differences that make each piece completely unique.

Each Waves.STUDIO piece is handcrafted and one of a kind. As a result, slight variations in dimensions may occur.

MATERIALS

Handcrafted in bio-based resin made partly from renewable biological resources and recycled plastic.

The resin is produced by a family-owned company in France under energy-efficient conditions before making its way to my atelier in Aarhus, Denmark, where each piece is shaped entirely by hand.

Bio-based resin is waterproof, UV-resistant and highly durable, allowing each object to retain its color and character. The material also has a unique ability to absorb light, be transparent and reveal subtle details.

CARE

Designed to be enjoyed for years to come. While bio-based resin is waterproof, UV-resistant, and highly durable, it also benefits from a little care and attention.

Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 40°C, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cleaning products.

A gentle wash with lukewarm water and mild soap is all that is needed to keep your piece looking its best. For further info go to Care Guiden

DELIVERY

In-stock pieces are typically dispatched within 3-5 business days within the EU (complimentary shipping) and 5-10 business days for destinations outside the EU.

Please note that bespoke commissions and made-to-order pieces may require additional production time, as each work is handcrafted from scratch.

Yes. Waves.STUDIO offers bespoke pieces tailored to your individual preferences - including customized sizing, a wide array of colour, and entirely new designs. What can I expect the final artwork to look like?

At Waves.STUDIO in Aarhus, I create handmade sculptural vases, decorative lighting, and contemporary artworks using bio-based resin. Variations in shape, texture, and finish are part of what makes your piece uniquely yours. Every piece is accompanied by a certificate stating its exact dimensions and edition number.

How do I clean my new object?

Each Waves.STUDIO object is handmade in bio-based resin. The material is water-repellent, UV-resistant and very durable, but does not react well to high temperatures, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents. A gentle cleaning with lukewarm water and mild soap is all that is needed to maintain the object's appearance and quality.

When are new designs released?

New Waves.STUDIO designs are released throughout the year as they are completed. Each piece is developed at its own pace, with a focus on craftsmanship, material exploration, and artistic expression rather than fixed production schedules.
